HD denotes Heavy Duty Models
Cool Climate = A maximum water temperature of 18 deg°C (64F)
Temperate Climate = A maximum water temperature of 24 deg°C (75F)
Tropical Climate = Water temperatures of 25 deg°C (77F) or greater
NB: Maximum pool size assumes ideal conditions, low water temp, perfect water balance, low demand and excellent filtration. These conditions rarely exist. Poolpower recommends choosing a model which is one or two sizes larger than that specified in the Maximum pool size table. This will ensure that your system has a reserve of output you can draw upon in unusually high demand situations which often exist.
* Always consider the worst case scenario when sizing, ie. peak of summer period and the effect of solar or gas heating if it is connected or is to be in the future.
